Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Sigma AI Consulting AI Readiness Assessment Platform (the "Platform"), registering for an account, or clicking "I agree," you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").
If you are accessing the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms. In that case, "you" and "your" refer to that organisation.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the Platform.
Description of Services
Sigma AI Consulting provides an AI Readiness Assessment Platform that enables organisations to evaluate their artificial intelligence maturity across five dimensions: Strategy, Governance, People, Data, and Operations (the "Services").
The Services include:
- Structured assessment questionnaires across 20 indicators and 80 statements
- Automated scoring, radar charts, and executive dashboards
- Gap analysis, priority action roadmaps, and progress tracking
- Report generation including KPI reports, ISO 42001 alignment analysis, and board-ready PDF exports (subject to plan)
- Advisory content and benchmarking tools
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Services at any time with reasonable notice where practicable.
Accounts & Registration
To access the Platform you must create an account by providing accurate, current, and complete information including your name, organisation, and a valid email address.
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access at [email protected]
You may not share your account with others, create accounts for third parties without their consent, or use automated means to create accounts. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Free Trial
We offer a 14-day free trial providing access to a limited set of Platform features, including:
- A maximum of 2 full AI Readiness Assessments
- Executive dashboard, radar chart, heatmap, and priority action roadmap
- Report preview with trial watermark (clean exports available on paid plans)
During the free trial: assessment deletion is disabled to preserve trial integrity; PDF exports carry a watermark; and plan-specific features remain locked.
The free trial begins on the date of account creation and expires automatically after 14 days. Upon expiry, access to run new assessments is suspended. Your existing assessment data remains available for viewing.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the free trial offer at any time without notice to prospective users.
Subscriptions & Payment
Following the free trial, continued use of the Platform requires a paid subscription. Plans, pricing, and included features are described at sigma-ai-consulting.com/sigma/pricing.php.
Billing: Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually as selected at purchase. Annual plans are billed upfront for the full year.
Activation: Accounts are activated upon confirmation of payment by Sigma AI Consulting. Payment instructions are provided upon plan selection.
Cancellation: You may cancel at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period unless required by applicable law. Please review our Refund Policy for full details on eligibility and how to submit a refund request.
Price changes: We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' written notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of new pricing.
Taxes: Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes, levies, or duties. You are responsible for all such charges in your jurisdiction.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use the Platform in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its related systems
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform
- Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access or extract data from the Platform
- Introduce malicious code, viruses, or software designed to disrupt or damage the Platform
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Platform or its outputs without express written consent
- Use the Platform to assess organisations without their knowledge or authorisation
- Misrepresent assessment results or use outputs in a false or misleading manner
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action, including account suspension or termination.
Intellectual Property & Ownership
The Sigma AI Consulting platform, including its underlying methodology, governance logic, assessment structures, content architecture, interface concepts, written materials, and associated models, is the original intellectual property of Prof. Samer Barakat. The platform reflects his independently developed research and applied framework for AI governance, organisational readiness, and responsible AI adoption, including the published model available through SSRN. All rights are reserved. No individual or organisation may copy, reproduce, imitate, republish, reverse engineer, regenerate, modify, distribute, or create derivative versions of this website, platform, framework, or its contents in whole or in part without prior written authorisation from Prof. Samer Barakat or Sigma AI Consulting. Unauthorised use may constitute a violation of applicable intellectual property and copyright laws.
Our IP: The Platform, including its design, methodology, assessment framework, scoring algorithms, software, content, and branding, is owned by or licensed to Sigma AI Consulting and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the Platform.
Your data: You retain ownership of all data and content you submit to the Platform ("Your Data"). By submitting Your Data, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process it solely to provide the Services to you.
Your reports: Assessment outputs are made available for your internal business use. On Agency plans and above, white-label exports are permitted for client-facing use subject to plan terms. You may not represent our proprietary methodology as your own.
Feedback: Any feedback or suggestions you provide may be used by us without obligation or compensation to you.
Your Data
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect Your Data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for ensuring that data you submit does not violate the rights of third parties, complies with applicable data protection laws in your jurisdiction, and does not include unnecessary special categories of personal data.
Upon account termination, we will retain Your Data for a reasonable period (not less than 30 days) to allow export, after which it may be permanently deleted. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.

THE PLATFORM AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, that assessment results will be accurate or suitable for any particular purpose, or that any defects will be corrected.
Not professional advice: All Platform outputs — including scores, recommendations, and ISO 42001 alignment analyses — are for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal, regulatory, financial, technical, or professional advisory services. Seek qualified professional advice before making material business decisions based on Platform outputs.
Not certification: No output from the Platform constitutes a formal certification, accreditation, or compliance determination under ISO 42001:2023 or any other standard or regulation.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SIGMA AI CONSULTING SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.
OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL FEES PAID BY YOU IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (USD $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. To the extent such laws apply to you, some of the above limitations may not apply.
Termination
By you: You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any prepaid fees.
By us: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice, if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we determine your use poses a risk to the Platform or other users.
Effect of termination: Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ceases immediately. Sections 7, 9, 10, and any provisions that by their nature should survive, shall survive termination.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a prominent notice on the Platform prior to the changes becoming effective.
The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform and may terminate your account.
